Streamline Environmental Consulting Ltd. provides professional biological consulting services to support land development planning, permitting and construction. Our team of biologists, technicians and Qualified Environmental Professionals (QEP) are experienced in permitting land development projects of all sizes, from single family home Riparian Areas Regulation (RAR) assessments to comprehensive rezoning for communities, universities, marinas, resorts and golf courses.
Located in Nanaimo, we have provided environmental services to hundreds of successful land development projects throughout the Vancouver Island region, including the following communities:

At the planning stage we conduct ecological inventories to identify environmentally sensitive features and potential constraints to development. This includes identifying and classifying watercourses and fish habitat, and determining appropriate development setbacks consistent with the Riparian Areas Regulation (RAR), the Fisheries Act and applicable government requirements. Surveys determine site-specific wildlife and habitat values and the related requirements under the Wildlife Act or Species at Risk Act.
Once the environmental sensitivities and constraints of the property are determined, Streamline works with the developer to determine suitable measures to minimize potential environmental impacts, and prepare an environmental assessment report to obtain regulatory approvals.
Developers often wish to create environmentally sustainable or green projects and communities. Our Registered Professional Biologists are experienced in identifying suitable opportunities for park dedication, ecological restoration and enhancement, and environmental best management practices.
Once development plans have been approved, Streamline assists land developers in ensuring regulatory compliance during construction by providing expertise in erosion and sediment control planning and environmental monitoring.
